The variety is a traditional Italian plant grown primarily in the Campania and Piedmont regions. Fructification occurs in June, which places the variety in the early or mid-season maturity category.

The fruits are characterized by a heart-shaped form and an attractive red color. The flesh is juicy, and the taste is rated as very sweet. According to some data, the average fruit weight is about 5.1 g.
