ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The tree of this variety is vigorous and, with proper training, can reach 6 meters in height. The plant is characterized by good winter hardiness, withstanding frosts down to -20°C, and also possesses sufficient resistance to the main diseases of the crop.
The fruits are medium to large in size, dark red in color, sometimes with a brownish hue. The flesh is firm, crunchy, and juicy, distinguished by a balanced taste with slight acidity. The harvest ripens in the period from the end of June to early July.
The variety is self-infertile and requires the presence of pollinator trees of other varieties, such as Napoleon, Burlat or Hedelfingen. For planting, well-drained fertile soils and areas with sufficient sunlight are recommended.
