The variety belongs to the firm-fleshed sweet cherry group (chrupka). The tree is vigorous and forms a large crown. The variety is self-sterile and requires the presence of pollinator varieties blooming at the same time for fruit set.
Fruits are large, blunt heart-shaped. The skin changes color from dark red to almost black upon ripening. The flesh is firm, juicy, with a spicy flavor; the juice is intensely colored. The harvest ripens gradually in the second half of July.
