The «Van» variety is characterized by medium-vigorous tree growth with a spreading or spherical crown. The fruits are large, ranging from 6 to 8 grams, have a carmine-red color, and are broadly heart-shaped or spherical. The fruit flesh is firm, crisp, and has a dessert taste.
The tree enters the fruiting phase early and produces regular and abundant yields. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, but it shows sensitivity to bacterial infections and diseases of the bark and wood. In rainy weather, the fruits are prone to cracking.
