The tree is vigorous, reaching 5–6 meters in height, with a broad, spreading crown of medium density. Fruits are large, weighing 6–9 g, with a round-cordate shape and a dark red, almost black color when fully ripe. The juicy, semi-firm flesh has a sweet dessert taste; the stone is difficult to separate.
The variety is classified as early-ripening, with the fruit ripening period occurring from late May to mid-June. The plant possesses medium winter hardiness, though flower buds are sensitive to severe frosts. The variety is characterized by low resistance to fungal diseases and a susceptibility of the fruits to cracking during excessive humidity.
