The variety is a compact variant of the sweet cherry variety Van. The tree is distinguished by a growth type with shortened internodes. The fruits have bright red skin and firm, sweet flesh.
The variety is not self-fertile, requires pollinators for fruiting, and has an S-genotype S1S3. Studies note the variety's sensitivity to low temperatures during artificial freezing and susceptibility to Coccomyces hiemalis.
