The tree grows vigorously, forming a powerful funnel-shaped or wide-domed crown. At maturity, the height reaches about 10 meters with a crown diameter of up to 8 meters. The variety enters bearing late, 10 or more years after planting, but subsequently provides abundant and regular yields.

The fruits are large, most often obtuse-heart-shaped. The skin color varies from dark ruby to almost black. The flesh is firm, cartilaginous and juicy, with intensely colored juice. The variety ripens gradually in the second half of July, and the fruits are characterized by high transportability.

The plant prefers deep, fertile loamy soils with calcium content and does not tolerate drought. The variety possesses high winter hardiness, is undemanding in care, and tolerates pruning well. The fruits are universal in use, suitable for fresh consumption and various types of processing.
