Trees are vigorous, forming a sparse pyramidal-type crown. Fruiting begins in the 3rd–4th year after planting; the crop is formed both on bouquet spurs and annual growth. The variety is characterized as self-infertile; pollinators such as 'Shalun'ya', 'Podbel'skaya', and 'Chernokorka' are required to obtain a yield.
Fruits have a flat-round shape and a weight of 4.5–6.0 g, and are colored a bright dark red, almost black. The flesh is distinguished by a tender, juicy consistency and a harmonious sweet-and-sour taste. The small stone easily separates from the flesh. The variety belongs to the extra-early category: fruit ripening occurs in the first ten days of June.
The plant has high resistance to diseases, however, the generative organs are sensitive to recurrent spring frosts. The variety was obtained as a result of crossing the 'Samsonovka' cherry and the 'Melitopol'skaya desertnaya' duke.
