The variety belongs to the very early group: fruit ripening occurs in early June. The tree forms a compact crown, which allows it to be grown in orchards with limited space. For breeding purposes, the variety is also used as an intermediate rootstock for sweet cherry to limit scionvigor.
The fruits are round in shape and weigh 5–6 grams; their color changes from bright red to dark burgundy when fully ripe. The flesh of the fruit is juicy and soft, with a sweet-and-sour taste. The variety is self-fertile, but it is prone to fruit cracking under excessive moisture.
