The RIVEDEL variety tree is distinguished by medium to high growth vigor and a semi-upright crown shape. The variety belongs to the very early maturity group; the harvest usually ripens a few days before the Burlat variety, falling in late May – early June.
The fruits are kidney-shaped or round, with a mass of 8–11 g and a diameter of 26–29 mm. The intensely red skin is combined with juicy flesh of medium to high firmness and a balanced flavor.
The variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinators. The plant is at risk of flower damage from spring frosts due to early flowering, and the fruits have high susceptibility to cracking in rainy weather.
