ActivePrunus cerasus L. · Sour cherry
Ujfehertoi Gyumolcstermesztesi Kutato, H
10 August 2026
The variety represents one of the local types of cherry historically common in Denmark. During comparative trials at the Blangstedgaard experimental station, no significant differences were found between this clone and other local forms, such as Stevnsbær, Langeskov, Løvskal, and Skælskørbær.
According to 1961 measurement results, trees grafted onto Prunus avium rootstock reached 4.8 meters in height with a crown diameter of 3.8 meters. Historically, this type of cherry, grouped with others under the Brunkirsebær name, was used for industrial processing due to its high dark juice content.
