Variety description

10 August 2026

The St. Julien A rootstock provides a semi-dwarfing growth habit, allowing grafted trees to reach a height of 3–5 meters. The plants enter the fruiting stage 3–4 years after grafting and possess good anchorage in the soil, generally not requiring permanent support.

This rootstock is adapted to a wide range of soils, including heavy and clay soils, and also exhibits tolerance to calcareous soils. However, it is sensitive to drought. The plant is not a fruit variety; crop quality depends entirely on the characteristics of the scion.
