The tree is medium-sized with a spreading crown. Fruits weighing 45–50 g have an oval or elongated-ovoid shape. The skin varies from green-blue to dark blue or violet-red, covered with a heavy glaucous waxy bloom. The flesh is yellow-green, juicy, dense, sweet, and aromatic; the stone separates well.
Fruit ripening occurs in the second half of August – early September. The variety is distinguished by abundant and regular yields, and possesses above-average winter hardiness and disease resistance. It is partially self-fertile; Stanley, President, and Italian Prune (Венгерка итальянская) are recommended for pollination.
The variety is considered a benchmark for drying and is also suitable for fresh consumption and culinary use. Various clones exist, including the D'Ente 707 selection, which is characterized by increased yield and fruit size.
