The tree is of medium or vigorous growth with an initially upright crown that becomes spreading during the fruiting period. The variety is adapted to growing in partial shade and on poor soils; it possesses resistance to adverse conditions and high frost resistance of the flowers.
The fruits are of medium or large size, oval or round in shape, with a weight of about 35 g. The skin is dark purple or blue-black with a bloom; the flesh is golden-yellow, juicy and firm, with a sweet-and-sour taste. The stone separates easily.
The variety is self-fertile, but cross-pollination contributes to an increase in yield. The plum belongs to the culinary type: the fruits retain their shape well during heat treatment, which is why they are preferred for jams, compotes, and baking, although they can be consumed fresh when fully ripe.
