The Eisentäler variety, also known as Eisentaler or Eisentaler Frühzwetsche, is an old prune-type plum variety. In modern genetic databases, such as the Deutsche Genbank Obst, this variety is considered a synonym for Ersinger Frühzwetsche.
The fruits of this variety are characterized by a balanced sweet and sour flavor. The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinator varieties, such as The Czar or Zimmers Frühzwetsche, to ensure a regular yield.
