The variety is a chance seedling known since 1896. Trees of this variety are distinguished by their hardiness and are suitable for cultivation in both lowlands and mountainous regions. The plant is found in the form of standard and half-standard trees.
The fruits are medium to large in size and have an oval-elongated shape. The skin is colored dark purple, reddish-purple, or black-blue and is covered with a thin bloom. The flesh is yellow-green, juicy, and has a soft texture. Fruit ripening occurs in July–August.
