The variety is a clone of the Hauszwetschge group, distinguished by vigorous tree growth and a spreading crown. The fruits ripen in September and are dark blue in color with an intense bloom. The flesh is golden-yellow, juicy, and separates well from the stone.
The plant is self-fertile, but yields can be increased in the presence of pollinators. The type is considered less prone to overcropping than the base variety. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, baking, and the preparation of jams and distillates.
A critical drawback of the type is its high susceptibility to the Plum Pox virus (Sharka), which limits its planting in affected areas. A predisposition to physiological fruit stalk shriveling is also noted.
