The tree is characterized by rapid growth, reaching a height of 3–6 meters. The crown is pyramidal at a young age, becoming oval-rounded and spreading with age, of medium density.

The fruits are large, weighing from 43 to 70 g, oval or elongated-rounded in shape. The skin is dark purple or burgundy-blue with a waxy bloom. The flesh is yellow or greenish-yellow, juicy, firm, with a sweet-and-sour taste; the stone separates well.

The variety is late-ripening, maturing in the second half of September — early October. It possesses high winter hardiness and resistance to diseases, with the exception of susceptibility to bacterial canker. The fruits are of universal use and transport well.

The variety is often described as self-fertile, however, some data indicate partial self-fertility and the need for pollinators for maximum yield.
