The tree with an upright crown form reaches a height of 5–7 to 8–12 meters. The oval-shaped leaves are green upon emergence, then acquire a bronze or red-purple hue. Abundant flowering occurs in early spring before the appearance of leaves; the flowers are cup-shaped, white or pale pink.
The round-oval shaped fruits reach 5 cm in diameter and have a red or dark red color. The flesh is orange-red, juicy, and the stone separates poorly. Fruit ripening occurs in August-September. The variety is self-fertile and possesses frost hardiness corresponding to zone 5a.
