The "Favorita del Sultano" plum is a medium-sized tree about 3 meters tall, ripening in August. The fruits are large, weighing 85–100 g, oblong-ovoid in shape, with skin ranging from pink-blue to dark red. The flesh is juicy, yellow-green, sweet and sour, and the stone separates easily. The variety is self-fertile, begins fruiting in the 3rd–4th year, and the fruits do not drop and possess high transportability.
The "Sultan" variety, belonging to the Japanese plum (Prunus salicina) species, is a tree 3–5 meters tall. It is characterized by large fruits with dark red skin and red juicy flesh. Unlike the first variety, it is a productive plant requiring cross-pollination by such varieties as Santa Rosa or Burbank.
