The tree grows moderately vigorously, reaching 5-6 meters on Myrobalan rootstock. The crown is broad, spreading, and eventually takes on a pendulous form. The variety prefers sunny locations and fertile, moist soils; it bears fruit regularly, but not overly abundantly.
The fruits are oval-ovate, weighing 26-37 g, with dark blue-violet skin covered in an intense bloom and juicy, firm flesh that separates well from the stone. The fruit use is universal: from fresh consumption to all types of industrial processing and drying.
The variety is sensitive to Plum pox virus and requires protection against plum sawfly and plum fruit moth, while showing high resistance to fruit Monilia rot, as well as to winter and spring frosts. To increase yield, cross-pollination with varieties such as Prunus domestica or Wangenheimova is recommended.
