The tree forms a spreading crown and is characterized by good vigor, precocity, and high yield. Flowering is late, occurring in mid-May simultaneously with varieties such as Stanley or Italian.
Fruits are medium-sized, having a round or oval-round shape. The skin is purple-blue, covered with a thick waxy bloom, which gives a bluish tint. The flesh has good flavor, and the pit is semi-clinging.
The variety is self-fertile and well-compatible with various rootstocks. Upon ripening, the fruits are prone to shedding and can soften faster than other common varieties.
