ActivePrunus domestica L. · European plum
Walter Hartmann c/o Universität Hohenheim
10 August 2026
The variety forms vigorous trees with a dense, broad, rounded crown, reaching a height of about 6 meters. The purple fruits have juicy flesh, a pleasant aroma, and a stone that separates easily. The variety ripens in mid-August and is considered self-fertile.
The plants are characterized by high winter hardiness and drought tolerance. The variety is demanding of soil conditions and requires well-drained, humus-rich, fertilized soils. As a rootstock, the variety is valued for its ability to reduce the vigor of the scion and stimulate early fruiting.
