The Wavit rootstock (sometimes referred to as Prudom) is a selection from seedlings of the 'Vengerka Vangengeima' variety. The plant possesses high winter hardiness and excellent compatibility with all plum and apricot varieties.
The use of this rootstock provides trees with medium-low vigor and early entry into bearing in the 3–4th year. It promotes regular yields, an increase in fruit size, and more uniform fruit ripening.
The root system develops well, which ensures tree stability and eliminates the need for mandatory support. It is characterized by the absence of suckers, although in individual cases, shoot formation at the root collar is possible.
