The tree is vigorous and shows higher yields in a warm climate. The flowers are sensitive to frost, and the fruits are prone to cracking and rot during heavy rainfall. The variety shows moderate resistance to plum pox virus.
Planting in sheltered areas with deep and moist soil is recommended. The variety is of French origin, known since the second half of the 19th century.
