The CASTELLET tree has an upright canopy and a spur-type bearing habit. The variety is self-incompatible and belongs to the mid-season maturity group in terms of harvest time.

The kernel is characterized by a rounded shape, medium size, wrinkled surface, and a high percentage of double kernels (14–16%). The shell is very hard, accounting for 20–25% of the fruit weight. The harvesting process is facilitated.
