The variety belongs to the group of plants with very early flowering and harvesting. Fruiting occurs on spurs. The variety is self-incompatible with the S10S31 genetic profile and shows susceptibility to anthracnose.
The almond kernels have an elongated shape, a wrinkled surface, and an average weight of about 1.5 g. The shell is soft, the kernel output is about 55%, and the proportion of double kernels reaches 10%.
The variety is of Italian origin and is often used in breeding programs as a reference sample for flowering time. The fruits are used in the production of confectionery, marzipan, ice cream, and are also consumed raw or fresh.
