The tree of this variety is characterized by high vigor, spreading crown shape, and high productivity. Fruiting occurs mainly on spurs. The variety is characterized by a late flowering period and medium harvest time.
The kernel has an elongated shape, light color, and a weight of about 1.8 g; the surface is slightly wrinkled. The shell is hard, the kernel yield is about 30%. A high percentage of double kernels is noted, reaching 16%.
The variety is self-incompatible and valuable as a genetic resource of the Puglia region. In production, it is often used as a pollinator for other almond varieties.
