The tree is of medium size, vertically directed in growth habit, and more upright than the Nonpareil variety. The variety is characterized as late, with harvesting usually carried out in October, approximately 40 days after Nonpareil. The blooming period coincides with Nonpareil or occurs 1–2 days later.
The shell is semi-hard, with a low level of suture opening. The kernels are oval-shaped, medium or small in size, possess a mild sweet flavor, and are distinguished by a low percentage of double kernels. The fruits are well-suited for mechanical harvesting and hulling.
The variety is used for commercial cultivation and processing, including blanching and slicing. The plant possesses relative resistance to a number of diseases characteristic of almonds.
