The Pointue d'Aureille variety is a local landrace originating from the village of Aureille in France. The plant possesses very high vigor, and flowering occurs at a medium time. Fruiting takes place on annual shoots and spurs.
The fruits have a soft shell. The kernels are medium-sized, weighing about 1.2 grams, and are characterized by an elliptical or elongated shape, a light color, and a slightly wrinkled surface. The percentage of double kernels is very low or zero. The variety is considered productive and undemanding to cultivate.
