The Pointue du Languedoc variety is the result of folk selection and forms yield on one-year-old shoots and spurs. The plant has an S1S5 genetic profile, which makes it self-incompatible.
The fruit kernel has an elliptical or elongated shape, a light color, and a wrinkled surface, with an average weight of about 1.3 g. The share of double kernels in the harvest reaches 9%, and the soft shell with a 67% index makes the fruits vulnerable to birds.
