The variety is an object of study in almond genetic resource collections in the regions of Southern Italy and Apulia. It is being investigated in the context of analyzing homozygosity, kinship, and the chemical composition of the kernels.
The alpha-tocopherol content in the kernels of this variety is approximately 500 mg/kg. The variety is also included in comparative studies of kernel weight among almond varieties of the Apulian region; however, detailed agrotechnical characteristics and a description of commercial cultivation protocols are absent from open sources.
