The variety is the result of breeding carried out in Florence in 1980 by crossing the parent forms J.H. Hale and Michelini. The trees are characterized as medium-sized, reaching a height of 3–5 meters. The variety possesses medium winter hardiness and is sensitive to severe frosts, which limits its cultivation to regions with a temperate climate.
The fruit ripening period falls between mid-July and early August. The fruits have juicy, sweet white flesh with a tender texture; the stone separates poorly. The skin is colored light yellow or cream with a blush covering up to 80% of the surface. The variety is for universal use, suitable for fresh consumption and processing.
