The variety was obtained as a result of crossing the J. H. Hale and Triumph varieties. The tree is medium-sized, 3–4 m in height, with a spreading, rounded crown. The variety is self-fertile and precocious, entering into fruit-bearing in the 2–3 year after planting.
Fruits are round-oval in shape with a pointed tip and ripen in the first ten days of July. The flesh is cream-yellow in color, tender, medium-fibrous, and very juicy. The skin is yellow with a red streaky blush and is easily peeled. Fruits possess low keeping quality and can be stored for 3–4 days at room temperature.
The plant possesses medium winter hardiness and requires covering in regions with severe winters. Resistance to fungal diseases is medium; possible susceptibility to secondary moniliosis is noted.
