The plant is a dwarf shrub or small tree with a slow growth rate, reaching a height and width of about 1.5 meters. In April, the branches are densely covered with dark pink or red flowers.
The variety is self-fertile and bears small fruits with light yellow skin with red spots. The fruits ripen in August–September, have a sweet taste and aroma, although the flesh may have a bitter aftertaste when unripe.
The plant is sensitive to leaf curl; winter hardiness is down to -27 °C. Recommended for planting in sunny locations with fertile, well-drained soil; requires only minimal spring pruning to maintain shape.
