The variety is a vigorous tree 3 to 4.5 meters in height. The fruits have a characteristic flattened shape and a dense fleshy structure. Upon reaching maturity, the skin acquires a dark red, almost inky-black hue, while the flesh remains light amber.

The flavor profile is characterized by sweetness, a distinct aroma, and low astringency. The variety is self-fertile, but yields increase in the presence of pollinator varieties. Regarding cultivation features, the tree is noted for its susceptibility to bacterial canker.
