Variety description

10 August 2026

The rootstock was selected from a local population of Prunus insititia. It has moderate vigor, comparable to the INRA-Saint Julian 655/2 rootstock, and demonstrates high yield efficiency of grafted cultivars.

The plant is adapted to heavy, calcareous, and waterlogged soils, where other rootstocks show poor survival. It is characterized by a low level of root sucker formation compared to some counterparts.

The rootstock shows good compatibility with peach; however, cases of incompatibility may occur when used with apricot. In long-term trials, higher tree mortality rates have been recorded on this rootstock compared to some other options.
