The fruits are small, with an average weight of about 12 g, round in shape, resembling a cherry. The skin is blue-black with an intense waxy bloom. The flesh is firm, dry, yellow in color; the stone separates well.
The tree is vigorous, with upward-pointing branches and an open crown. The variety is self-pollinating, late-maturing, with full maturity reached by the end of September. Fruits can remain on the branches for a long time after ripening, gradually shriveling.
Used for fresh consumption, processing, and drying. It is a recommended pollinator for the Belle de Thuin variety. Often used in agroforestry systems.
