The BAROCCA - INVERNALE DI S. VITO variety is an autochthonous plant that formed as a result of long-term selection in the province of Rome and the Gezzano area. It is included in official regional genetic resource registers as a species threatened by genetic erosion.

Fruits ripen in October. The skin is green with a red blush, turning yellow upon ripening. The flesh is yellowish-white in color with a crunchy texture. The variety is intended for fresh consumption.
