Variety description

10 August 2026

Calebasse Bosc is a large spreading tree that is demanding of heat and soil. Its fruits are distinguished by an elongated bottle shape and skin covered with russeting. The flesh is tender, juicy, and buttery, possessing a rich aroma.

Calebasse de Tirlemont is an old variety with moderate growth and a tendency to form flexible, drooping branches. The fruits are large, irregular in shape, with rusty-brown skin and juicy, grainy flesh. The harvest ripens in October; the fruits are not intended for long-term storage and are prone to rapid spoilage.
