BUTIRRA ROSATA

Active

Pyrus communis L. European pear · Fruit crops

also searched as: бутирра росата

Variety description

10 August 2026

The Butirra Rosata tree has very high growth vigor. The variety is self-incompatible and shows weak compatibility with quince rootstocks, which often requires the use of an interstock during grafting. The plant is prone to parthenocarpy and has moderate susceptibility to fire blight.

The fruits are medium to large, having an obconical shape with rounded shoulders. The yellow skin is complemented by a bright red blush, as well as russet spots and stripes. Ripening occurs 6–7 days before the Williams variety. The flesh is white, juicy, and has good taste qualities, while the fruits are noted for higher transportability than a number of other varieties, despite their short shelf life.
