The tree is vigorous or medium-sized with a broadly pyramidal or rounded crown. The variety blooms early, therefore it is sensitive to late spring frosts; it has good compatibility with quince rootstock.

The fruits are of classic pear shape, weighing 130–180 g, ripening in late July or early August. The skin is thin, light yellow with a diffuse pinkish-red blush. The flesh is white, juicy, buttery, with a sweet taste and slight acidity.

The variety is self-sterile and requires the presence of pollinator varieties blooming at the same time. The plant is moderately susceptible to scab and moderately susceptible to fire blight; the transportability of the fruits is low.
