The fruits of this variety are large, bergamot-shaped with smooth, dull yellow-green skin, sometimes with a reddish blush and areas of russeting. The flesh of the fruits is white and granular; they are hard in their fresh state and are not consumed raw. When boiled, stewed, or baked for 1–2 hours, the flesh acquires a pleasant taste, aroma, and a pink hue.
The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and forms a spreading, often weeping crown. The variety is characterized by high yield, hardiness, and resistance to scab. Being a triploid, the variety is self-sterile and requires pollinator trees.
This is a late variety, with harvest taking place in October. The fruits are distinguished by high keeping quality and can be stored until March-April.
