The Buré Ròca variety, also known as Cedrata romana, Beurré royal de Rome, B. royal de Turin and B. Bechis, is a historical variety characteristic of Piedmont. It is preserved within the framework of biodiversity conservation programs and is mainly used for fresh consumption.
In literature, the variety is mentioned primarily in a historical-pomological context. There are assumptions about its use in breeding work, however, precise data on the plant characteristics, ripening periods and disease resistance are absent in the publications.
