CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree is medium-sized, with a sparse pyramidal crown. The variety is partially self-fertile; to obtain a stable yield, pollinators such as Williams, Santa Maria, Conference, or Bosc are required. When working with quince rootstock, grafting via an interstock is often required.
Fruits weigh 120–180 g, pear-shaped. The skin is smooth, thin, light yellow when ripe with a diffuse pink blush. The flesh is white, very juicy, melting, with a pronounced sweet or sweet-sour taste and aroma. Harvesting takes place at the end of July — beginning of August.
The variety has good drought tolerance, however, it has medium resistance to scab and moderate susceptibility to fire blight. Due to early flowering, buds and blossoms are at risk of damage by late spring frosts.
