The tree has a dense, broad-pyramidal crown, the height of which depends on the rootstock used: on quince, it reaches 2–4.5 m, on wild pear — 5–8 m. The variety begins fruiting in the 3rd–4th year, possesses high self-fertility, and is often used as a pollinator for other varieties.

The fruits have an elongated-pear or bottle shape. The skin is greenish-yellow, somewhat tough, often with brown russeting. The flesh is cream or pinkish-cream in hue, tender, melting, and sweet.

The variety belongs to the autumn maturity group; harvest maturity occurs in early September. Trees are characterized by relatively low winter hardiness and require support when using dwarfing rootstocks. The fruits possess high transportability and retain their market quality in a refrigerator for up to 5 months.
