CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The variety is a summer type; fruits ripen in early August. They are medium-sized, pear-shaped or rounded, with thick, red-rust colored skin. The main distinguishing feature is the flesh, which acquires a pinkish-cherry or blood-red hue upon ripening. The taste of the fruits is sweet and aromatic, with possible slight astringency.
The tree is vigorous and possesses high resistance to drought, frost, and pests, in particular to psyllids. Data regarding resistance to fire blight are contradictory. The variety is considered rare and is of interest as a decorative and genetically unique specimen, suitable for use as a rootstock due to its developed root system.
