The E S'Assunta variety is a traditional or "forgotten" fruit. In the past, it was widely used for family consumption, but today its cultivation is limited, often at an amateur level.
The variety is mentioned in a number of scientific studies dedicated to the cataloging and analysis of the biodiversity of Sardinian fruit crops, where comparative morphological and qualitative assessments of its fruits are conducted.
