CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree is medium-sized, forming a pyramidal crown with thin drooping branches. The variety is characterized as early-bearing, producing a generous and regular yield. The level of winter hardiness is medium; mature specimens are capable of withstanding frosts down to -25...-27 °C.
Conical-shaped fruits with a knobby surface reach a mass of 200–350 g; with proper care, the weight can be significantly higher. The thin skin acquires a golden hue upon ripening. The creamy-white flesh has a tender, buttery consistency and a sweet taste with a slight acidity.
The variety has an autumn ripening period; fruits are suitable for fresh consumption. If harvested too early, the fruits may remain firm, making them suitable for culinary processing. The variety is rarely affected by scab and is poorly compatible with quince rootstock without the use of an interstock.
