The variety belongs to the earliest-ripening types. The small-sized fruits have green skin color and white flesh of fine consistency, intended primarily for fresh consumption.
In agronomic studies, the variety showed good results when used as an intermediate rootstock (interstock) for grafting pears onto quince (Quince A). It is a traditional Tuscan variety of folk selection, preserved in genetic heritage collections.
